Serial Diluters by Inlabtec – Efficient, Standardised Microbiological Dilution Systems

Inlabtec Serial Diluters automate the preparation of decimal serial dilutions using sterile, low-material Serial Dilution Bags instead of conventional tubes. Designed for microbiological testing laboratories, the systems reduce manual preparation work, simplify dilution workflows and support consistent, ISO-compatible dilution processes.

The Inlabtec Serial Dilution System combines ready-to-use Serial Dilution Bags with automated dispensing and integrated mixing. Samples are pipetted into the dilution bag and homogenised by the Serial Diluter, enabling fast, standardised and reliable sample dilution without changing established laboratory procedures.

The system is compact and easy to integrate into existing laboratory workflows, requiring minimal bench space comparable to a vortex mixer and tube rack.

Choose the model that best fits your laboratory’s sample throughput, workflow and budget. As a practical guide, the Serial Diluter UA is ideal for laboratories processing up to around 50 samples per day, while the fully automated Serial Diluter UC is recommended from around 50 samples per day or more.

Serial Diluter UC: The Automatic

The Serial Diluter UC is Inlabtec’s fully automated solution for serial dilution workflows. It combines the patented bag-based dilution system with intuitive user guidance, automated filling and integrated mixing.

Illuminated bag openings guide the user through sample addition and sample retrieval. Sensors detect key workflow steps and control the automated mixing and dispensing sequence. This reduces manual handling and supports a consistent dilution process, especially in laboratories with higher daily sample numbers.

The Serial Diluter UC is designed for laboratories that require maximum automation, high workflow efficiency and reliable handling of routine serial dilutions.

Inlabtec Serial Diluter UA for semi-automated serial dilutions

Serial Diluter UA: The Semi-Automatic

The Serial Diluter UA is the semi-automatic Inlabtec solution for efficient and standardised serial dilution. It combines sterile Serial Dilution Bags with integrated mixing and controlled diluent dispensing, while keeping the workflow simple and easy to operate.

Mixing and filling of the next dilution bag are triggered by moving the dosing lever to the right. After a short familiarisation period, users can prepare dilution series quickly and consistently without tube handling, vortexing, washing or autoclaving.

The UA is well suited for laboratories that want to simplify serial dilution workflows with a robust and cost-effective automation solution, especially at lower to moderate sample throughput.
